From jet set to self-made woman

 Entrepreneur Barblin Beier is now also committed to art – Stories from the “old” Marbella

Marbella – dan. Barblin Beier runs her own real estate company, is a style icon and has experienced Marbella in the days of the jet set. When she’s not busy with real estate, she gets on her Harley or is now also involved in art after meeting French DJ Mederic Nebinger. “He wanted to express himself visually, but like many musicians, he lives in his own world. We spoke on the phone every day and I encouraged him to paint. He actually created a complete exhibition within six months,” says Barblin Beier.

The exhibition opened at the end of April at the Sholeh Abghari Gallery in Marbella. Many buyers came forward at the opening and the exhibition was sold out the next day. “There’s never been anything like it in Marbella before,” says the busy businesswoman, delighted with her first and such a successful venture into the art scene. The pictures in the exhibition are themed around the Movida Marbella, something the German is very familiar with. She came to the city for the first time in 1997. “I was living in Ibiza at the time and friends told me that I absolutely had to visit the Spanish mainland and I liked it so much that I stayed.”
